Ring of Bells is an interactive computer software application (program) for church bell ringers. It enables you to look up methods, display them with nice blue (or any other colour) lines and even hear what they sound like!
It runs on almost any computer which can run Python (including Microsoft Windows and Apple macOS).
To download the software and manual, please click on the links below. Full installation and usage instructions are given in the manual.

Windows users will also need to download and install Python which is available from www.python.org before attempting to install Ring of Bells. Mac (and Unix) users should have Python already installed.
While I retain the copyright of Ring of Bells, I am making it available at no cost to anyone who wishes to use it. Ring of Bells comes with absolutely no warranty; therefore I will not accept responsibility for the consequences of using this software (If your computer crashes or your peal is lost then it isn’t my fault). Full terms and conditions are at the end of the manual.
If you really like Ring of Bells and find it useful, then please consider making a donation to the St Wilfrid’s Development Appeal, to futureproof our church building – the only Grade 1 listed building in Harrogate.
Unfortunately, due to many other commitments, the support I am able to offer is very limited. If you wish to contact me, send comments or report bugs then please use the contact button at the top and I will get back to you in due course.
